First Day of School Signs

Taking pictures of my students on the first day of school is always something I do my best to fit into our schedule!  The first day is always so busy, but having that picture on the first day is such a great memory.  I typically use their first day of school picture for a lot of things in the classroom right away.  Some of the things I use their pictures for are lunch cards, a class book, class name cheer, and a pocket chart that has their picture and name next to it.  Having pictures posted in the classroom is a great way to build a community of learners and it really helps for students to get to know the names of their classmates.  

  I wanted to share the First Day of School Signs that I used with my students last year with you.  I like to take their picture with the sign on their first day.  These signs can also be used with your own children on their first day of school!  It's always so neat to look back on the first day of school when the end of the year rolls around!
